NA 159-09-01 AA "Requirements for tattooing" is responsible for the preparation of standards and specifications in the field of tattooing at national, European and international level. It mirrors the work of the European committee CEN/TC 435 "Tattooing services", whose secretariat is held by DIN. The standard EN 17169 continues to attract considerable interest at both national and European level. With the completion of the European standard, DIN EN 17169 "Tattooing - Safe and hygienic practice" was also published in 2020. A national supplement was also created in 2020, which provides further explanations on occupational health and safety in the field of tattooing.
