Sprayed concrete - National application rules for series DIN EN 14487 and rules for design of sprayed concrete constructions
Abstract
This standard contains specifications that are required for the application of the DIN EN 14487 series of standards in Germany, as well as specifications for the design and structural design of structures and shotcrete. This standard applies to shotcrete according to DIN EN 14487-1, which is to be used for the repair and reinforcement of existing structures, for new structures and for the stabilization of excavations, cavities and slopes. It also applies to shotcrete for the lining of cavity concrete in structural engineering. This standard applies to components made of reinforced normal-weight or lightweight concrete with a closed structure in accordance with - DIN 1045-2, - DIN EN 1992-1-1:2011-01 and DIN EN 1992-1-1/NA, - DIN 1045-3. This standard also applies to sprayed mortar that is produced, monitored and processed in the same way as shotcrete in accordance with DIN EN 14487-1 in conjunction with DIN 18551. For sprayed mortar, produced from a factory-mixed dry mix, which is used for the repair of concrete components, reference is made to the 3rd correction to the DAfStb Guideline, Protection and repair of concrete components, 2001 edition. Further verifications are described in this correction. For sprayed concretes and mortars according to this standard, the assignment of application cases according to DIN 1045-1000:2023-08, Table 2, applies accordingly.
