Sprayed concrete - National application rules for series DIN EN 14487 and rules for design of sprayed concrete constructions
Abstract
This document specifies the requirements necessary for the application of the DIN EN 14487 series of standards, as well as requirements for the design and structural implementation of structural systems and shotcrete. This document applies to shotcrete in accordance with DIN EN 14487-1, which is used for the repair and reinforcement of existing structural systems, for new structural systems, and for the stabilization of excavation pits, voids, and slopes. It is also applied to shotcrete used for lining hollow-core concrete in structural civil engineering. This document applies to structural members made of reinforced normal-weight or lightweight concrete with a closed texture in accordance with - DIN 1045-2, - DIN EN 1992-1-1:2011-01 and DIN EN 1992-1-1/NA and - DIN 1045-3. This document also applies to sprayed mortar that is produced, monitored, and applied in the same manner as sprayed concrete in accordance with DIN EN 14487-1 in conjunction with this document. For sprayed mortar produced from a factory-mixed dry blend and used for the repair of concrete structural elements, reference is made to the 3rd Amendment to the DAfStb Guideline, Protection and Repair of Concrete Structural Elements, 2001 edition. This amendment describes additional verification requirements. For sprayed concrete and mortar in accordance with this document, the classification of application cases according to DIN 1045-1000:2023-08, Table 2, applies mutatis mutandis.
