Automatic electrical controls for installation in drinking water systems - Requirements for solenoid valves for use in drinking water installations


This document applies to solenoid valves for use in or in conjunction with equipment for domestic use domestic appliances or as shut-off devices, which are installed independently in a drinking water installation (according to EN 806) between the main shut-off device (HAE) and a tapping point. The document applies to valves with a nominal size up to DN 50 at a nominal pressure of PN 10 for the cold water area and/or hot water area with a limit temperature of 65 °C as well as at 90 °C for the period of 1 h according to the manufacturer's specifications. This standard specifies requirements with regard to the design, function and electrical safety and describes relevant test procedures.
