The working committee NA 003-01-16 AA "Valves for water supply, diaphragm valves, check valves and fire hydrants as well as gate valves, globe valves, butterfly valves and ball valves" of the DIN Standards Committee Valves is responsible for working on all standards and standardization projects related to valves for water supply, diaphragm valves, check valves and fire hydrants as well as globe valves.
Furthermore, the scope of the committee includes cast iron gate valves and gate valves of metallic materials, which are principally used for the industrial and general application.
In addition, projects related to metallic and resilient seated butterfly valves for general use and projects related to steel and copper alloy ball valves are also included in the scope.
The NA 003-01-16 AA is the German mirror committee within the European standardization for the working groups
- CEN/TC 69/WG 4 "Butterfly valves" (Secretariat: AFNOR, France) and
- CEN/TC 69/WG 15 „Diaphragm valves” (Secretariat: BSI, UK).
