DIN Standards Committee Railway

Abstract

This document, DIN 1565, Steel fittings for rail vehicles - Pipe nipples, double pipe nipples, swadged nipples, applies to steel fittings used in rail vehicle construction in conjunction with pipes in accordance with DIN 25570 and pipe nuts form B in accordance with DIN 431. This document specifies shapes and dimensions for pipe nipples, double pipe nipples, and swadged nipples. The following changes have been made compared to DIN 1565:1997-11: a) Update of the responsible DIN standards committee; b) Update of the responsible working committee; c) Update of normative references; d) Restructuring of the document; e) Informative Annex A "DIN 4000-16-13" list of characteristics” deleted; f) Editorial revision. This document was prepared by working committee NA 087-00-12-02 UA “Fastening elements” in the DIN Standards Committee Railway (FSF). The DIN standards committee "Water Management" (NAW) was involved in the preparation of DIN 1565:1977.
