About FSF

The DIN Standards Committee Railway (FSF) is responsible for all railway-specific standardisation work in the field of

  • rolling stock,
  • railway infrastructure
  • and system-related matters

with the exception of electrical and electronic applications.
It represents the German interests in European and International standardisation, in particular with regard to CEN/TC 256 Railway Applications and ISO/TC 269 Railway Applications, and holds the Secretariat of both Technical Commitees.
Furthermore it is in close contact to all committees of CEN-/CENELEC- and ISO/lEC which are engaged in aspects of railway. Furthermore FSF organises the standardisation work of cableways.
