Electrical laboratory devices - Laboratory circulators and baths
Abstract
This document was prepared by the working committee NA 055-03-06 AA "Laboratory circulators, laboratory baths, heating ovens and incubators" of the DIN Standards Committee Laboratory Devices and Installations. This document specifies terms, classifications and markings as well as test methods for determining the characteristics of the following equipment: (a) Laboratory thermostats, b) Laboratory baths, c) refrigerated circulators and heating circulators, d) refrigerated circulators, e) circulation coolers, f) immersion coolers. This document is applicable to the devices mentioned in a) to f) which are operated with heat transfer fluids. The characteristic data determined in accordance with this document are characteristic values for the appliances which provide comparable information on the performance of the respective appliance. The characteristic data and terms determined are specified in operating instructions, data sheets, technical literature and brochures. Safety requirements for the products mentioned in the scope of application are dealt with in DIN EN 61010-1 ff. This document is not applicable to block thermostats, hotplates and sand baths, among others.
