This document has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 48 "Laboratory equipment" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 332 "Laboratory equipment", the secretariat of which is held by DIN (Germany). The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 055-01-08 AA "Volumenmessgeräte" ("Volumetric instruments") at DIN Standards Committee Laboratory Devices and Installations (FNLa). This document specifies a gravimetric reference measurement procedure for the determination of volume of piston-operated volumetric apparatus (POVA). The procedure is applicable to complete systems comprising the basic apparatus and all parts selected for use with the apparatus, disposable or reusable, involved in the measurement by delivery (Ex) or contained (In).
