Overview
This document specifies the types, designs, and materials for quickly indicating stem type thermometers and enclosed scale thermometers. This document applies to fully immersing calibrated stem type thermometers (DST) and enclosed scale thermometers (DET) that, due to their design, indicate temperature changes in particularly quick fashion and are thus used, among other things, for temperature control during distillation. The responsible national standards committee is Working Committee NA 055-01-05 AA "Thermometer und Aräometer" ("Thermometers and Hydrometers") at DIN Standards Committee Laboratory Devices and Installations (FNLa).
