This document has been prepared by DIN Standards Committee Fasteners (FMV), Working Committee NA 067-00-11 AA "Scheiben und Ringe" ("Washers and rings"). This document specifies the characteristics of square taper washers for use in structural bolting of I-sections. Compared to the preceding standard (DIN 434:2000-04) the document has been editorially revised, the normative references have been updated, and Table 3 (major characteristics and AQL values) has been deleted.
