Corrosion protection of steel structures and their fasteners in drywall using corrosion protection systems - Laboratory tests for the evaluation of coating systems
Korrosionsschutz von Stahlkonstruktionen und deren Verbindungselementen im Trockenbau durch Korrosionsschutzsysteme - Laborprüfungen zur Bewertung von Beschichtungssystemen
Overview
This document specifies laboratory test methods and test conditions for the evaluation of organic and inorganic corrosion protection systems for corrosion protection in dry construction. Unalloyed/low-alloy steel with a material thickness of 0,3 mm to 3,0 mm and fasteners with nominal diameters up to 12 mm are evaluated. The test results are considered an aid in selecting suitable coated substructures and fasteners and are not intended as precise data for determining the duration of protection. This document specifies which protection class is suitable for which application situation of steel substructures and fasteners in dry construction. This document is applicable to substructures and fasteners made of uncoated, coated, galvanized steel, and steel surfaces with thermally sprayed or other metal coatings. The environmental conditions for corrosivity categories C1 to C5 specified in DIN EN ISO 9223:2012-05, Table 1, are taken into account. In addition, category C5-M is listed for special exposure to salts. This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 005-09-10 AA "Gips und Gipsprodukte (SpA zu CEN/TC 241)" ("Gypsum and gypsum based products (Mirror Committee of CEN/TC 241)") at DIN Standards Committee Building and Civil Engineering (NABau).
