DIN Standards Committee Iron and Steel

Overview

This document specifies the factory production control and third-party inspection system of the reinforcing steel products standardized in DIN 488-1:2009-08 to DIN 488-5:2009-08. The basis for the inspection is DIN 18200:2018-09 and the supplementary specifications given in the present standard. The test methods are given in the DIN EN ISO 15630-1 to -3 series of standards. The DIN 488-6 standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 021-00-03 AA "Betonstahl und Spannstahl" ("Reinforcing and pre-stressing steel") at DIN Standards Committee Iron and Steel (FES).
