Overview
This standard gives an overview of the permissible designs of sounding pipes on sea and inland vessels and specifies the requirements for the planning, execution, design and installation of these types of design. The permitted types of joints, deck penetrations, closures, pipe supports and cable routing are dealt with. Furthermore, the measuring instruments (dipstick guide tube and sounding device with tape measure) and the tools for opening the closures are listed.
