Technical Report

Overview

This Technical Report shows the dimensional tolerance of ferrite cores that is typically used by ferrite core suppliers. This is helpful as a reference for suppliers and users of ferrite cores when designing ferrite cores and/or the components in which ferrite cores are used. The main causes of dimensional deviations consist in the shrinkage of the powders ready for pressing, the density of the molds and the deformation of the ferrite cores. The responsible committee is DKE/K 625 "Magnetische Bauelemente und deren Komponenten" ("Magnetic devices and their components") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
