Overview
This Technical Specification specifies a template for communication profiles for use in the of IEC 62056 communication profile standards that follow the IEC 62056-1-0 standardization framework. It is expected that this TS will be included in IEC 62056-1-0 as an informative annex in the next revision of this standard. This template is particularly useful for introducing communication profile standards that define how DLMS/COSEM is used with a specific communication technique, assuming that this specific communication technique is already defined by a specific communication standard. The purpose of this template is: - to improve the readability of the standards; - improve the efficiency in the development of communication profile standards. The responsible committee is DKE/K 461 "Elektrizitätszähler" ("Meters") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
