Overview
Among other things, the scope of application includes: Low-voltage stud-terminals in accordance with in this document are primarily used for rotating electrical machines (see also explanatory notes). See DIN/TS 46260-2 for parts list for the bolt terminals, as well as the entire DIN/TS 46260-x and DIN/TS 46262-x series of standards. Form B preferably used for electrical apparatus for potentially explosive atmospheres in accordance with the standards of the DIN EN 60079 series. The requirements include, among other things, dimensions/designations, material, and design. Among others, the following restrictions apply: Low-voltage stud-terminals in accordance with in this document are primarily used for rotating electrical machines (see also explanatory notes). The standard differs from DIN 46262-4:1988-09 as follows: a) the designations have been updated to reflect the materials currently in use; b) the references to other documents have been updated; c) in Figure 1 the snap ring is shown in greater detail. Typical application examples for the DIN/TS 46260-x and DIN/TS 46262-x series of standards include, among others, use as feed-through solder terminals, as feed-throughs through the terminal board, for example from the machine into the terminal box, as an insulated screw threaded connection (auxiliary support) for multiple cables, jumpers, or conductors.
