Overview

The scope of this document includes, among other things: This standard defines the relative position of the three terminals to each other, to the joint and to the cable entry slot of the terminal box and the maximum dimensions of the cable slot entry as a function of the rated current as well as the minimum distances to the enclosure surfaces, the position of the terminals on the machine and the position and dimensions of the attachment flanges of the terminal box. Among others, the following restrictions apply: The arrangement of terminals applies to rotating electrical machines with three terminals and a rated voltage of 6,6 kV for which terminal pins under M12 are not allowed with regard to the operational plant or the size of the machine. The standard differs from DIN V 42962-1:2010-05 as follows: a) references to other documents and materials have been updated. Typical application examples include, among others: - representation and details with regard to the arrangement of terminals in the terminal box; - representation and details with regard to the location of the terminal box on the machine; - representation and details with regard to enclosure openings.
