Overview

This part of EN 62552 specifies the essential characteristics of household and similar refrigerating appliances cooled by internal natural convection or forced air circulation, and establishes test methods for checking these characteristics. The standard differs from DIN EN 62552-3 (VDE 0705-2552-3):2021-06 as follows: a) determination of E_{daily 16°C} for portable refrigerators placed on the market with an inverter, have only one food compartment, and do not fall into the category of low-noise refrigerators; b) interpolation of test results. Typical examples of applications covered by the document include refrigerators and freezers.
