This document addresses the vocational education, training, and required competencies for persons working in the AAL field and is intended for use by, for example, AAL consultants, AAL technical assistants, or AAL caregivers. The purpose of this document is to provide guidance on the vocational education, training, and required competencies for persons working in the AAL field. This document applies to individuals working in the AAL field, such as AAL consultants, AAL technical assistants, or AAL caregivers. This document will be helpful and useful for: - identifying and detailing the responsibilities and duties of the various individuals working in the AAL field; - identifying the professional skills and knowledge that individuals working in the AAL field should possess; - providing guidance for training and continuing education within AAL systems; - offering support to AAL stakeholders in the selection, development, implementation, use, and maintenance of the system and service; - facilitating user acceptance of the AAL system and supporting market adoption.
