Overview

This document defines the data models at the WAN interface of a smart meter gateway. For this purpose, it supplements the definitions provided in the normative documents DIN EN IEC 62056-6-2 and DIN EN 62056-6-1 with those elements that are additionally required from a national perspective. This document defines the necessary basis for the entirety of the data models in the form of COSEM interface classes and key figures, taking into account the requirements from the Smart Meter Gateway Protection Profile BSI-CC-PP-0073, Version 2.0, - TR-03109-1, BSI Version 2.0 and the specifications of the associations. In this sense, authorities and associations have the option of referencing this document, comparable to other standards and rules. This document is applicable to the application layer of a smart meter gateway at the WAN interface. For a better understanding of this document, the FNN note: Gateway Functions Specification can also be consulted. The use of objects and methods in a procedural context, including error handling, is defined in FNN Note: Specifications for Microprocesses for the Smart Meter Gateway. Attributes are always written in lowercase, regardless of the spelling used in this document. Methods are used in accordance with the spelling used in this document (camel case). The document has no restrictions in terms of its scope of application.
