Overview
This document specifies procedures and conditions for measuring the luminous flux maintenance of LED packages. It also provides procedures and conditions (criteria) for long-term prediction of luminous flux maintenance based on a limited amount of collected test data on luminous flux maintenance. On the basis of this document, where luminous flux measurement data is specified, radiation flux measurement data and photon flux measurement data may also be used. This document is not applicable to LED packages for road vehicles. The standard differs from DIN EN IEC 63013:2022-06 a follows: a) the scope has been extended to include "LED packages for germicidal applications"; b) the normative references to ANSI references have been updated. This document is necessary in order to ensure that manufacturers and users of LED packages can use a reproducible method to assess the luminous flux maintenance of the LED packages manufactured or used.
