Overview
This part of IEC 60763 deals with laminated pressboard as defined in Clause 2 of Part 1 of IEC 60763. The material described in IEC 60763-2 has been manufactured from boards that meet the requirements of IEC 60641. IEC 60641 applies to non-glued particleboard. The main changes from the previous edition concern Clause 12, "Shrinkage". The standard differs from DIN EN 60763-2 (VDE 0314-2):2007-12 as follows: a) Clause 12 "Shrinkage after drying in air" has been replaced by Clause 12 "Shrinkage". IEC 60763-2 deals with test methods for the material classified in Part 1 of the standard. Since the conditioning of laminated pressboard takes a very long time, the material is tested either in its delivery condition or after drying. Only in the event of a dispute shall the material be conditioned in accordance with a procedure specified in the standard.
