Distribution cables with extruded insulation for rated voltages from 3,6/6 (7,2) kV up to and including 20,8/36 (42) kV; German implementation HD 620 S3:2023, parts 0, 1 and 10-C
Overview
This document applies to cables with extruded insulation and rated voltages U0/U (Um) from 3,6/6 (7,2) kV to 20,8/36 (42) kV for use in power distribution networks with voltages that do not exceed the r.m.s. value of the highest voltage of the network Um. There are no restrictions on the scope of application of this document. The standard differs from DIN VDE 0276-620 (VDE 0276-620):2018-04 as follows: a) revision of Part 1 in order to take the requirements for thermoplastic insulation for operation at 90 °C into account; b) Part 10, main Clause C revised: - revision of the requirement for testing the breakdown field strength and definition of a limit for terminating the test, - diameter specifications for conductor cross-sections have been added to Table 2B, - outer diameter specifications for conductor cross-sections have been added to Table 6B; c) general editorial revision. This document applies to the construction, dimensions, and test requirements of single-core power cables with VPE insulation and PE sheath or with PVC sheath for rated voltages U0/U = 6/10 kV, 12/20 kV, and 18/30 kV, and three-core power cables with VPE insulation and PE sheath or with PVC sheath for rated voltages U0/U = 6/10 kV for fixed installation.
