Low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies - Part 7: Assemblies for specific applications such as marinas, camping sites, market squares, electric vehicle charging stations (IEC 61439-7:2022); German version EN IEC 61439-7:2023
Niederspannungs-Schaltgerätekombinationen - Teil 7: Schaltgerätekombinationen für bestimmte Anwendungen wie Marinas, Campingplätze, Marktplätze, Ladestationen für Elektrofahrzeuge (IEC 61439-7:2022); Deutsche Fassung EN IEC 61439-7:2023
Overview
This part of the DIN EN 61439 (VDE 0660-600) series of standards specifies the requirements for switchgear assemblies with rated voltages up to 1 000 V/AC and 1 500 V/DC for use in locations such as marinas, campsites, marketplaces, and charging stations for electric vehicles. Combined switchgear assemblies in accordance with this standard are suitable for operation by lay persons (for example, by plugging and unplugging electrical equipment). This part of the standard also contains requirements for combined switchgear assemblies intended for use in the generation, transmission, distribution, and conversion of electrical energy and for the control of equipment that consumes electrical energy. This standard defines requirements for switchgear assemblies intended for electric vehicle charging stations (AEVCS) for charging modes 3 and 4. They are designed to integrate the functionality and other requirements for charging stations for wired charging of electric vehicles in accordance with IEC 61851-1:2017. This document applies to all switchgear assemblies, regardless of whether they are designed, manufactured, and verified as single units or manufactured as series products in larger quantities. Manufacturing and/or assembly may be carried out by parties other than the original manufacturer (see IEC 61439-1:2020, 3.10.1). This standard does not apply to switchgear assemblies intended for installation on board ships, houseboats, watercraft, and similar watercraft. This document does not apply to single devices and assemblies that can be used on their own, such as circuit breakers, fuse switches, electronic assemblies that comply with their relevant product standards. This document does not apply to boxes and enclosures for electrical installation equipment for household and similar fixed electrical installations defined in IEC 60670-24. The standard differs from DIN EN IEC 61439-7 (VDE 0660-600-7):2021-06 as follows: a) a general editorial and technical revision. This document specifies the requirements for switchgear assemblies with rated voltages up to 1 000 V/AC and 1 500 V/DC for use in locations such as marinas, campsites, marketplaces, and charging stations for electric vehicles. Switchgear assemblies in accordance with this standard are suitable for operation by lay persons.
