Industrielle Kommunikationsnetze - Koexistenz von Funksystemen - Teil 2: Koexistenz-Management (IEC 62657-2:2022); Deutsche Fassung EN IEC 62657-2:2022
Overview
This document describes the concept and process of coexistence management. Based on the coexistence management process, predictable certainty of coexistence can be achieved for a specific spectrum with corresponding application requirements. This document describes mechanisms for managing the potential mutual interference that may occur when multiple radio devices are operated within a facility. This document provides users of radio networks with guidance on the selection and correct use of radio networks. It also assists suppliers in describing the behavior of radio equipment so that they can offer suitable radio equipment on the market that enables the establishment of radio networks adapted to the application requirements. This document is based on analyses of a number of international standards that are specific to particular technologies. The aim of this standard is not to introduce new parameters, but to use already defined parameters independently of a technology. This document: - establishes the basic requirements, concepts, parameters, and procedures for the coexistence of radio communications; - establishes the coexistence parameters and how they are used in an application that requires radio coexistence. This document provides a major contribution to national and regional regulations. It does not exempt devices from compliance with all requirements of national and regional regulations. The standard differs from DIN EN 62657-2:2018-03 and DIN EN 62657-2/A1:2020-11 as follows: a) the main part of the title has been changed from "Industrial communication networks - Radio communication networks" to "Industrial networks - Coexistence of radio systems"; b) alignment of several definitions and specifications of coexistence parameters to facilitate their future inclusion in the IEC Common Data Dictionary (IEC CDD) maintained by the IEC. c) alignment of several definitions and specifications for consistency with the new Parts 3 and 4. This document is intended for planners and managers of manufacturing and process plants, system integrators and machine builders who need to install and commission radio systems in machines and plants, as well as manufacturers of industrial radio solutions. It is also intended in particular to encourage communication between automation engineers and radio engineers.
