Overview
DIN 50708-2-6 contains special requirements for specific transformers or transformer applications based on the requirements of the general part EN 50708-1-1:2020. DIN EN 50708-2-6 specifies the rules for evaluating energy efficiency to ensure that products comply with Commission Regulation (EU) No. 548/2014 of May 21, 2014, and its Amendment No. 2019/1783 of October 1, 2019. This regulation is the basis for assessing the energy efficiency of power transformers. DIN EN 50708-2-6 contains special requirements for specific transformers or transformer applications based on the requirements of the general part EN 50708-1-1:2020. DIN 50708-2-6 shall therefore only be applied in conjunction with the requirements in the general parts of the series of standards. The scope of DIN EN 50708-2-6 covers the determination of the energy efficiency of medium-power transformers of non-conventional technologies in accordance with EN 50708-1-1:2020.
