Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) - Part 3-2: Limits - Limits for harmonic current emissions (equipment input current ≤ 16 A per phase) (IEC 61000-3-2:2014); German version EN 61000-3-2:2014
Elektromagnetische Verträglichkeit (EMV) - Teil 3-2: Grenzwerte - Grenzwerte für Oberschwingungsströme (Geräte-Eingangsstrom ≤ 16 A je Leiter) (IEC 61000-3-2:2014); Deutsche Fassung EN 61000-3-2:2014
Overview
This standard contains the German version of European Standard EN 61000-3-2:2014 and is identical with International Standard IEC 61000-3-2:2014. It contains specifications for limitation of harmonic current emissions caused by electric and electronic appliances with an input current ≤ 16 A per phase and which are intended for connection to public networks. For this purpose corresponding limits for the harmonic current emissions are specified, whereby the equipment are classified into four classes A to D. Furthermore specifications for measurements were stipulated, whereby reference is made to IEC 61000-4-7 or EN 61000-4-7, accordingly, which contain specifications for metrology. The general test conditions and particular test conditions stipulated for specific appliances are described in Annex C. With respect to the previous edition of the standard it has been clarified that household appliances with built-in dimmers are not included in the term "lighting equipment", so that the limits of class A specified in the standard apply for these appliances. Furthermore, special test conditions for high pressure cleaners which are not professional equipment are specified in the new Annex C.15. Furthermore, particular specifications for the test conditions of refrigerators and freezers with or without variable drive have been introduced. These test conditions are described in Clause C.16. Furthermore it has also been specified that refrigerators and freezers with variable drive fall into class D, whereas the other equipment falls into class A. Finally the test conditions of vacuum cleaners and water-suction cleaning machines as well as arc-welding equipment which are not professional equipment have been modified. The responsible committee is DKE/UK 767.1 "Niederfrequente leitungsgeführte Störgrößen" ("Low-frequency conducted disturbance variables") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
