Overview
This standard specifies the requirements for protective provisions regarding electric safety of fixed installations connected to alternating and/or direct current traction power supply systems and of all installations which may be subject to hazards due to electric traction power supply systems. It also applies to any fixed installations required to ensure electric safety during maintenance work on electric traction power supply systems. This standard applies to all new tracks and any major modifications to existing tracks of the following electric traction systems: railways, guided urban transport systems, such as trams, overhead and underground railways, mountain railways, trolleybuses and magnetic railways, as well as material railways. This corrigendum includes modifications to Clause 5 and Annex H. The responsible committee is UK 351.2 "Ortsfeste Anlagen" ("Fixed installations") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
