Overview
This part of IEC 61754 specifies the standard interface dimensions for type SC family of connectors. The standard covers information, definition and rules for the preparation and interpretation of standard designations and their tolerance levels. The standard provides manufacturers and testing laboratories with the stability in defining the term test and is used as a reference in quality assurance. The responsible body is DKE/UK 412.7 "LWL-Verbindungstechnik und passive optische Komponenten" ("Fibre optic interconnecting devices and passive optic components") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
