Overview
The standard series EN 61386 contains requirements and tests for conduit fixing devices, inclusive tubes, conduit fittings and conduit fitting devices for cable protection and management in electrical installations or communication systems up to and including 1 000 VAC and/or 1 500 VDC. This standard is applicable for metallic, non-metallic and composite conduit fixing devices; it also contains connections with and without threads terminating the system. This part of IEC 61386 specifies the requirements and tests for conduit fixing devices used for support and/or retention of conduit for cable management. The responsible committee is DKE/UK 543.2 "Führungssysteme für Kabel und Leitungen" ("Guiding systems for cables and wires") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
