Overview
This standard covers 8-way unshielded free and fixed connectors. It specifies reference dimensions and electrical transmission requirements, including power sum of alien (exogenous) crosstalk, for frequencies up to 500 MHz. These connectors are typically used as category 6A connectors and in cabling systems of class EA according to ISO/IEC 11801. They are intermateable, interoperable and backward compatible with other IEC 60603-7 series connectors. The responsible Committee is K 651 "Steckverbinder" ("Connectors") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) of DIN and VDE.
