Overview
The standard describes the service conditions, rated characteristics, general structural requirements and test methods of prefabricated assemblies of the main electrical functional units of a HV/LV distribution substation, duly interconnected, for alternating current of rated voltages above 1 kV and up to and including 52 kV on the HV side, service frequency 50 Hz. The standard considers the potential interaction between the functional units when closely installed and interconnected to form a type-tested assembly. This assembly is to be cable-connected to the network. The responsible Committee is Subcommittee UK 432.2 "Typgeprüfte Hochspannungs-Schaltanlagen" ("Type-tested controlgear") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
