Abstract
This part of IEC 63041 is applicable to sensors that apply the quartz crystal microbalance QCM) technology. QCM is type of piezoelectric resonator sensor used in various fields, including biology, medicine, film thickness measurement, gas analysis, micro mass detection, and environmental science. The purpose of this document is to define the term used for QCM. It also aims to ensure the users understand state-of the-art QCM's and how to use them correctly from a technological standpoint.
