State of the railway vehicles - Control and instrumentation technology - Part 207-12: External visible and audible warning devices for trains
Abstract
The general scope of this document is specified in DIN 27200:2021-03. This document applies to optical and acoustic warning devices permanently mounted on the exterior of a vehicle that are effective outwardly. They are referred to as external optical and acoustic warning devices. The functional and technical requirements are specified in DIN EN 15153-1:2020-03 and DIN EN 15153-2. Portable lights, such as the removable train tail light signal and the removable train tail board, are excluded from the scope of this document. This document also applies to rail-road vehicles equipped with external optical and acoustic warning devices that comply with railway vehicles as specified in the Railway Construction and Operating Regulations (EBO) and the Railway Signaling Regulations (ESO).
