Automatic electrical controls - Part 2-26: Particular requirements for Wireless Power Transfer Controls (WPTCs)
Abstract
This document applies to wireless power transfer controls (WPTCs) used in, or in association with, equipment for household and similar uses, including controls capable of receiving and responding to wireless communication signals. For equipment that may be used with WPTCs, examples include fixed and portable kitchen appliances, countertop and tabletop wireless charging surfaces, small and large kitchen appliances with wireless power receivers, and household furniture with integrated wireless power transmitters. This document defines the safety requirements and test methods for WPTCs, including WPTCs for Household and similar uses, wireless transmitter, wireless receiver, transmitting coil, rated operating point, standby object, system efficiency and operating frequency of wireless power transfer. This document covers WPTCs operating with rated input voltages not exceeding 250 V for AC single-phase or 480 V for AC multi-phase, input power up to 3.5 kW, and operating frequencies in the range from 20 kHz to 300 kHz.
