Hydraulic machines - Acceptance tests of small hydroelectric installations
Abstract
IEC 62006 defines test procedures, measurement methods and contractual requirements for the acceptance of small hydropower plants. It applies to hydraulic machines such as impulse and reaction turbines with a capacity of up to approximately 15 MW and an impeller diameter of around 3 m. The standard covers all essential tests for performance evaluation, including safety tests, trial operation and reliability tests. If necessary, it includes additional tests such as cavitation, noise and vibration measurements.
