Open Charge Point Protocol 2.01
Abstract
After the publication of DIN EN IEC 63584, a number of problems were identified. Some of these problems could not be resolved solely by issuing errata to the specification text, but required changes to the machine-readable schema definition files of the protocol, which are not backward compatible. To avoid confusion in the market and potential interoperability issues in practice, the OCA has decided to designate this version as 2.0.1 (national DIN EN IEC 63584-201). DIN EN IEC 63584-201 contains corrections for all known issues to date, not just for messages. This version replaces DIN EN IEC 63584. The OCA recommends that OCPP implementers no longer implement DIN EN IEC 63584 and only use DIN EN IEC 63584-201 in the future (after the transition period in the application start of the future DIN EN IEC 63584-201:202X). All references to DIN EN IEC 63584 refer to DIN EN IEC 63584-201, unless expressly stated otherwise.
