Rules for Steam Turbine Thermal Acceptance Tests - Part 5: Steam Turbines in Combined Heat and Power (CHP) / District Heating (DH) Cycles
Abstract
The standard supplements the IEC 60953 series with specific rules for thermal acceptance tests of steam turbines operated in combined heat and power (CHP) and district heating circuits. It expands on the general requirements of IEC 60953-0 with specific requirements for measurement, evaluation and calculation of results under the complex conditions of combined power/heat generation. Typical test procedures, necessary corrections, analysis methods and sample calculations are covered. The standard generally applies to new turbines of all types and capacities and helps engineers to reliably assess the performance of such turbines, unless otherwise agreed in a contract.
