Underwater acoustics - Calibration of interferometric fiber-optic hydrophones in the frequency range 10 Hz to 20 kHz

Abstract

This document specifies measurement principles, measurement facilities, measurement conditions, measurement methods and measurement uncertainties of phase-shifted sensitivities of interferometric fiber-optic hydrophones in the frequency range 10 Hz to 20 kHz. The Interferometric fringe counting method, Bessel function ratio method, phase-generated carrier demodulation method, differential delay heterodyne demodulation method and phase demodulation method using 3 × 3 coupler are provided.
