This part of IEC 61300 is concerned with the observation of debris, scratches and defects. The inspection requirements are based on data from many expert contributions in IEC SC86B WG4 and WG6. Replace the second bulleted text under the sentence concerning objectives with the following new text and delete the third bullet: The objectives of this document are the following: • specify the minimum criteria for a microscope to be compliant with this document; • specify the procedure for inspecting fibre-optic end faces
