Electroacoustics - Simulators of human head and ear - Part 0: Selection and use of devices
Abstract
This part of IEC 60318 describes Simulators of Human Head and Ear (SHHE) of the following types and their applications: – acoustic couplers; – ear simulators; – head and torso simulators; – mechanical couplers. The document also describes the selection and use of the appropriate ear simulator to perform measurements on specific models of earphones and other transducers. These measurements can be for calibration, test or other purposes.
