Abstract
This document provides functional requirements for the alarm systems in the main control room, establishs the human factors requirements and gives design guidelines for alarm presentation. It aims to give guidance to reduce problems which are not nuclear-specific at all. Thus it can be used well for control rooms of non-nuclear plants.
