Abstract

This standard specifies minimum requirements for emergency escape lighting systems and requirements for verification, operation and maintenance documentation as well as test requirements for such systems. Emergency escape lighting includes escape route lighting, open area (anti-panic) lighting, local area lighting and high risk task area lighting. Escape route safety signs are part of emergency escape lighting.
