Overview
This standard focuses on requirements for safe operation, inspection, maintenance, installation and decommissioning. Identification of the basic health and safety requirements, their risk assessment and reduction is carried out in accordance with ISO 12100 and follow its structure for a C-standard (safety standard for machinery dealing with the safety requirements for a specific machine or group of machines). This standard does not address the structural design of the wind turbine. Precautions and measures for elevators or service lifts in the wind turbine tower are not covered by this standard.
