As part of the European Commission-funded project “HARMONY-FOUR-CONT – Standards for methods of analysis for process and other contaminants in food”, four European Standards are to be developed in the field of food analysis. These standards will support the implementation of Regulation (EU) 2017/625 on official controls and contribute to ensuring the comparability of analytical results across Europe.

DIN is therefore seeking qualified project leaders to develop and validate the relevant analytical methods within the working group “Process and environmental contaminants” (CEN/TC 275/WG 13).

Four Standardization Projects Open for Tender

The call for tenders covers the following standardization projects:

1. Foodstuffs – Determination of acrylamide in food for infants and young children
2. Foodstuffs – Determination of mineral oil hydrocarbons (MOSH & MOAH) in selected food groups by online-LC-GC-FID
3. Foodstuffs – Determination of certain perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in food of animal origin
4. Foodstuffs – Semi-quantitative screening method for certain polychlorinated alkanes (C10–17) by GC-EI-MS/MS

Project leaders will be responsible, in particular, for the development and validation of the test methods, the organization of international inter-laboratory studies and the preparation of draft European Standards.

Application Deadline and Submission

The call for tenders is open from 19 October to 19 December 2026.
