Abstract
This document specifies requirements and provides recommendations for the provision of professional services in beauty salons. These services relate to the performance of cosmetic treatments, regardless of where the services are delivered. This document specifies requirements and provides recommendations for carrying out cosmetic treatments by a sufficiently qualified cosmetic professional. Recommendations regarding customer management are provided in order to ensure the safety of customers during any cosmetic treatment. The scope of services offered by beauty salons is limited by the qualifications of the individual cosmetic professionals, which have been obtained from a recognised education provider. Medical procedures, including aesthetic surgical interventions, as well as procedures involving cosmetic injections, including sclerotherapy, are excluded from the scope of this document. Hairdressing, body art and tattooing services are also excluded from the scope of this document.
