Sustainability criteria for hydrogen and hydrogen derivates
Abstract
This document establishes principles, criteria, and indicators, thereby creating the framework for evaluating the sustainability of hydrogen and hydrogen derivatives. It applies to the value chain of hydrogen and hydrogen derivatives and all technologies within this value chain, starting from the extraction or production of hydrogen and hydrogen derivatives, including the inputs used for this purpose, up to and including delivery to the end consumer. This document can be applied to parts of a value chain or individual processes within the value chain (see Figure 1). This document does not set standards, thresholds, or limit values.
