Abstract
This document specifies requirements for shut-off bladder and sealing cushion systems intended for the temporary isolation and testing of non-pressurized pipes, conduits and sewers used for the transport of rainwater and municipal wastewater and combined wastewater. It applies to systems that include some or all of the following components: hose assemblies and couplings, control devices, pressure gauges, safety valves and shut-off devices. This document does not apply to shut-off bladder and sealing cushion systems for the isolation and testing of gas pipelines; the equipment covered is not subject to the Pressure Equipment Directive.
