Ultrasonics - Methods for the characterization of the ultrasonic properties of materials
Abstract
Points to be considered for the revision include: - A review of the Back Scattering Coefficient - Further guidance on the preparation of tissue samples to be characterised - Shear wave speed and shear wave absorption coefficient - Evaluation of material nonlinearity - Consideration of time causal models as a means to validate phase velocity from absorption coefficient values - A change of terminology (should to shall) in a number of clauses to reflect that added confidence gained in the methods described within. This will also support any possible future transition from TS to IS.
