Abstract
This document specifies requirements for filling and draining devices with nominal diameters up to DN 50 for the separation of drinking water installations and piping systems with open nozzles and their testing. Filling and draining devices according to this document serve to supply a water extinguishing system or sprinkler system directly connected to the drinking water installation. The use of remote-controlled filling and draining stations according to this document takes into account fire protection requirements on the one hand and drinking water hygiene requirements on the other. The connection to the drinking water installation is specified in DIN 1988-600. This document includes Amendment A1.
